Your journey to the Lesachtal
By car, bus & train or plane
Whether you're travelling from Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Switzerland, Italy, or further afield – the picturesque Lesach Valley is easily accessible. Here you'll find all the information for a stress-free journey.
Your tip for getting there: No matter how you travel, we recommend checking the route beforehand.
By car
From the direction of Vienna:
Continue on the A2 (Südautobahn) in the direction of Graz – Klagenfurt. Take the Hermagor exit and follow the B111 via Kötschach-Mauthen into the Lesachtal valley. From there, you will reach Liesing and finally Klebas.
From the direction of Salzburg:
Take the A10 (Tauern Motorway) towards Villach and exit at Lendorf/Lienz. Follow the B100 over Steinfeld, Greifenburg and Oberdrauburg to Kötschach-Mauthen. From there, the B111 will take you directly into the Lesachtal valley to Klebas.
From the direction of Munich:
Choose the route via Kiefersfelden – Kufstein – Kitzbühel and go through the Felbertauern tunnel. Follow the B100 via Lienz and Sillian to Tassenbach. From there, you can reach the Lesachtal valley via the B111 and the villages of Obertilliach and Maria Luggau.
By train and bus
From the direction of Vienna:
Travel by train to Klagenfurt – Villach – Hermagor and take the bus towards Liesing in Kötschach-Mauthen. We are happy to pick you up free of charge from Tassenbach or Oberdrauburg train station!
From Germany (e.g. Munich):
Take the train via Salzburg – Bad Gastein – Mallnitz to Lienz. From there, take the bus to Tassenbach. We also offer a free pick-up service from the station here.
By plane
The nearest airport is Klagenfurt, about 140 km from Lesachtal. For a small fee, we would be happy to arrange your transfer from the airport directly to us.
