Why we do what we do
Hello!
For decades and now in the third generation, we have been offering our guests a genuine, honest, and unforgettable holiday home. What began as a farmhouse is now a small mountain hotel – run by the whole family. With us, you won't find routine, but pure joie de vivre: in our handcrafted rooms, on herb walks, or simply when enjoying a cosy get-together in our restaurant and on the terrace.

When I walk through the garden, I don't just see plants – I see flavours, medicine, and stories. As a trained TEH practitioner, I know how to make pesto from wild garlic and why dandelions can do more than just blow away as clock seeds. I'm probably the jack-of-all-trades at the small mountain hotel and I'm enthusiastic about many things.
Your musical host
Michael
I have two great passions: people and music. When I'm not planning new hiking routes for our guests, I enjoy sitting with our guests and telling stories or playing with the local brass band. In our family business, I'm the all-rounder and lend a hand wherever needed.
Your hosts for three generations
Christoph, Veronika and Clara
Christoph and Veronika are involved as volunteers, and also partly professionally, as paramedics with Austrian Red Cross. Respectful interaction with people and the joy of doing good for others are also reflected in our daily interactions.
In the summer, Christoph is in his element in the kitchen, delighting our guests with alpine and regional cuisine. He completed his four-year apprenticeship in a 4-star establishment, where he perfected his culinary and waiting skills. With great experience, creativity, and a love for local cuisine, he ensures delightful moments.
Veronika completed her HGA apprenticeship with distinction and was awarded Apprentice of the Year 2023. With her commitment, warmth, and organisational talent, she makes a significant contribution to ensuring our guests feel completely at ease.
Daughter Clara is also part of the family and is currently still at school. Together, we are a well-practised team, where everyone helps out and sticks together. The girls provide energetic support in everyday life and create a familial atmosphere with great joy and dedication.
We also share a particular musical passion: all three of us play with Dad in the Liesing Folk Music Band and let their instruments sound melodious. For us, music is an expression of community, tradition, and joie de vivre — values that we would also be happy to share with our guests.
